1F HEI and TBI

Has anyone upgraded a 1F to HEI and/or TBI? Just curious if it's possible, what it costs, is it worth it? Or is that the point where many people consider upgrading to a 2F? If this has been covered in the Tech forum on Mud my apologies - haven't found a relevant thread yet.

There is a gentleman in Cary, NC running what I believe is a 1F/TBI on his 40. I believe Downey Off Road makes a kit, and I am pretty sure Weber does as well.

Yep Marshall would be the best around this neck of the woods.

I am unsure about a 1F though.

Just checked out Downey - $750 for the kit and you supply the GM 4.3L throttle body and computer (they estimate these will cost up to $350 at a junk yard). Wow. I'm liking carburation much better by the minute.
