Selling my 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser with 289,000 miles. Recent maintenance includes timing belt and water pump, heater tee's, rear drive shaft u joints and front cv axle. Extras installed include Ironman 4x4 lift, Ironman steel front bumper with Warn 10k winch and Alpine touchscreen stereo with backup camera. A/C is ice cold and Faulken A/T tires are almost brand new. Cosmetically it could use some TLC and has a couple of rust spots. Clean and clear FL title in hand along with extensive service records. As you can tell from the photos it's not a show car by any means but it runs great and overall is mechanically sound.

Known issues: Could use shocks in the future, rear driver side passenger door lock actuator makes noise but works just fine, need to unlock all doors not just driver's or alarm will sound.

Haven't receive much interest here or other sites where it's listed. Is my price out of line?

Just to give feedback on price, I don’t know that your price is out of line but since you’ve not been getting bites that might suggest it’s high. I think more of what you’re seeing is a change in the market. I’ve been eyeing 100 series trucks for a while but the cost due to the pandemic bubble got insane. Now we’re seeing a correction with gas prices going up and a lot of really nice examples are hitting the market for $15k-25k. 50-150% of your price, but not out of reach for someone who has been patient and saving. Personally, i’m an entry level mechanic that can do basics but would likely be paying a shop to baseline the truck for me. I’m building in $3-$5k into my purchase price for that. Rust and body issues are a no go for me since those costs go up very high quickly and i’m looking to make this my primary vehicle. You may need to wait for the right buyer and just bump the post periodically to keep it at the top of this forum, or drop the price for a quicker sale. Hope this is taken as constructive from a single POV and not discouraging or an attack on your vehicle or price. GLWS.

I appreciate the feedback and insight. The weird thing is I had almost zero activity then yesterday had 4 separate parties contact me. I definitely agree it will take the right buyer due to some of the issues but think that is reflected in price. As you said, clean examples are going for twice as much.

Thanks again for the feedback and good luck on your search.

Nice cruiser. What’s your bottom line price. I’m in Florida. (Sarasota). Any accidents on the carfax.

$8k. No accidents on the Carfax.
if I were to drive over this weekend and check it out, would you be ok with me getting it inspected by an independent shop or closest Toyota dealership? I see you haven’t owned it long, why are you selling?

I’ll be out of town this Saturday through next Saturday so would need to be before or after I’m back in town. With that being said, I have another interested buyer who will let me know by 6pm tomorrow if they’re going to place a deposit and proceed with the sale. Assuming it’s still available, you’re free to take it wherever for an inspection.

Selling because I bought it on a whim to use as a daily driver but with a 64 mile round trip commute it wasn’t the best decision so I bought a new WRX to use.
