1KZ-TE Turbo Diesel with intercooler
FACTORY RECARO SEATS! I can't imagine there's many others in the world that got this option.
Brand new Cooper Discoverer All terrain tires
Brand new 2 inch lift
Brand new Enkei bronze wheels
Brand new Prinsu full roof rack
Upgraded interior lights and headlights to LEDs
The exhaust has already been straight-piped
There is a common issue with the digital climate control where the encoder is wonky and when you go to change the speed of the fan it jumps back and forth. I have purchased a refurbished (looks brand new) climate control unit and have that available. The issue itself is very minor, it's fairly easy to get the air going as much as you need, you just sometimes have to play with it a little
Glow plugs just replaced
Injectors just replaced
Timing Belt recently replaced
lower ball joints (common failure) recently replaced
side steps are removed but still have
factory roof rails were removed for the full prinsu rack but still have those as well
Swapped the front grille for a black version but still have the original
For being a 99, the paint is basically perfect
Swapped out the stereo from the unusable Japanese unit to a Sony unit with carplay and backup camera (still have the original Toyota system
Cons: - Really only just 1. The heads are slightly cracked. This is not an immediate issue and it's minor enough where there's a good amount of driving that can still be done without worrying and you don't notice that there's an issue because currently it's NOT an issue. These are known for having an issue with heads cracking so this is not an abnormal issue, it will just need to be addressed down the road, which is pretty much something that always has to be addressed down the road for these. I looooooooooove this rig. I've had it for a couple months now and it crushes me to even post this. The reason I'm selling and not handling getting it fixed up myself is because I already have an older imported Toyota SUV so for me I don't really NEED to keep putting all this money into this thing and frankly I've already dumped a lot into it since owning it to get it to where it's at and I'm at a point where I have to maybe make a financially responsible decision for once in my life and cut my losses.
