I'll post up some pics tonight, but for now:
What I have is an ABSOLUTLEY plain jane, no BS, honest to God work truck.
1999 vintage, 7.3L powerstroke diesel, Standard cab, Long bed, 2WD tow machine.
I bought this about 1.5 years ago with the intention of making it my tow beotch to take the cruiser to far flung events like Moab. Well, I moved to Utah about 7 mo ago, and really have no reason in the world to keep a vehicle that seats (at best) 3, when I have a family of 4.5.
I love driving this thing, it rides so smooth (especially when loaded). The brakes will throw you through the windscreen if you're not careful. I added a remote start (installed by the Ford dealership) when I still lived in Iowa to help with warm up on those -40 mornings. It never once failed to start.
Body is immaculate for a 10 year old truck, Not sure it's ever been driven in the winter.
PO had a piece of plywood screwed to the bed in the back, I pulled that out and put down a rubber bed mat.
What I want: I'm open to anything that will hold 2 adults and 3 car seats. So, that pretty much means a wagon body cruiser. LV's, PIG's, 60's, 80's. (my wife would love an 80, I'd love a 60, PIG, or LV!). KBB says the F-250 is around $7k (for reference). Your rig should be a solid DD, or an especially interesting project near completion. I don't really have a lot of time or $$ to devote to finishing a project though.
Located in Tooele, UT zip 84074 about 30 min west of Salt Lake City.
I realize there is nothing fancy about my F-250, but if you need a tow rig- this fits the bill.
This is really my truck, and I have found more reason to haul things (8 foot bookcases, bags of concrete, landscape brick, Costco trips, etc...) in the last 1.5 years then I ever thought I'd have. Not happy to be trying to get rid of this, but we can squeeze 2 adults and 2 kids in it now, and it's FULL. No way the new one will fit, so keeping it would be selfish.
