1998 Toyota Tacoma

Hey guys. I haven't really looked at this side of the site much as my Tacoma hasn't ever given me any trouble but lately its been acting odd. I figure you guys can give me a heads up on what going on.

Well I've noticed this year when I am in 4 wheel drive its getting tough to steer. I know thats vague but I haven't ever had an issue. It acts like its locked up front. Its really off. My old landcruiser doesn't even have this much trouble. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Any noise accompanying the excess steering wheel input needed? Idling or driving?
Ever had ps fluid (ATF) flushed?

my initial thoughts were maybe a front diff bearing as I assume you only have this problem in 4X4... I would think, try putting it on a hoist and check the steering going full left to full right and spin each front wheel in the air and see how it feels...
get a buddy to hold one front wheel and turn the opposite and see what resistance you feel and then try the opposite side in the same manner.
