My girlfriends father is buying a Volkswagen Golf and he has a 1998 Rav 4 which has been his daily driver for the last 6 or 7 years up for sale (he actually wants to trade it in for nothing). He didn't even know what to ask for it, so I am listing it here first to see if anyone wants a super deal. It's got around 270,000 kms, roughly 170,xxx miles. It's 5 speed manual all wheel drive. Black with gray interior, really not rusty like most vehicles here. Cracked windshield. I will post pictures. Asking $3000 for a quick sale. All offers will be considered, cash talks. Located in Sherbrooke, Qc. It's not my car, just trying to help him out. I've seen other Rav's listed in Montreal for $4k and up. Really it's a nice car. Let me know asap before he trades it in.

Also it has really nice summer tires on it and I believe the winter tires come with it as well. I am going to get pics today, but for right now here is a pic of a identical vehicle type to show the style. It's just like this with 4 doors.

I'm going to try and get pictures today, He has really nice summer tires and a set of nice winter tires included. No a/c, manual windows, sunroof, cd player. I will get his receipts later and let you know what he has done to it over the years. Again I just put $3k as the list price, come see it and make an offer. No rush, but I'd like it to go to a good home instead of being traded in. Her father told me he bought it as a collision repair, but has never had the first issue. I think it had 80,000 kms when he bought it 6-7 years ago.

here are some pictures, if we could sell it before we have to exchange plates (which is monday I think ) I will cut you a super deal, and I mean a super deal. Only rust is on the rocker area, small touch ups for paint here and there a few small dents. Very far from perfect but a guaranteed daily driver. I'd like for anyone interested to come see it and drive it.

a couple more, tires are like new. Gas door flap is broken so it doesn't latch but it stays shut. Looks better in the pictures than it is, but not far from what they show. It's solid for sure.

$2500 Need it gone by Monday, if not it's going to stay plated and driven. Just wanted to give the option to mudders before I listed it locally, no doubt in my mind it will be sold in a couple of weeks listed around $3k
 
With that being said the $2500 is still negotiable, just don't try to take it for nothing. More than willing to give someone a fair price for a good vehicle, and offset for anything a potential buyer feels appropriate. I'm sure between the two sets of tires and wheels there are at least $800 in tires with this car alone. Should be available tomorrow if anyone wants to see it.
