now that my wife donated her old cruiser <grin> I want to put some bigger AT tires... does anybody have experience putting 305/70/16's on the stock rims (stock suspension). WIll I have interference to the body or frame?

Also, what about some cheap power enhancements? Air intake filter or replacement tube? Jet ECU reprogramming?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

305 with stock lift u will got rubbing 285 should be ok , air intake filter for performance u have to use exuast system u will be fine u can have borla cat back or jibson.

Mate, is that a 105 youve got? Ive got the Royale Toyota 16 x 8 alloys on my wifes 105, and the 305/70 BF Goodrich MTs rub the rear inner guards, like a barsted! Ill change to 285s shortly.
With your stock suspension, could I trouble you to find a tape measure and check out the lift height thread, a few posts down?
Thanks in advance
Matt

I have 305s on my stock LC and it only rubs when I turn sharp in reverse. Doesn't rub in foward even when I turn the wheel all the way. I haven't had a chance to take em off road yet, though.

305s

I ran 305's for a little while with stock suspension and t-bars cranked slightly. I didnt have any clearence issues.

I run 295/75/16's BFG AT's with no lift and have had zero rub. They look great but you will loose some power

im looking into getting some replacement tires. Either stay with the stock LTX M/S or put Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos or BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO's.

ColoradoCarlisle....how are thoes BFG's with snow/wet traction? Either way i go im staying at 275/70/16 but im curious as how these other tires fare snow. My stock tires are pretty good in the snow.

In terms of adding a little power, i have a K&N Intake system and Borla Cat-Back. 0-60 in 8.6s over the original about 10seconds.
