I have 290,000 miles on my LC and I love it. It riding a bit rough as is expected with so many miles. I want to keep it stock. What do I need to change, specifically what needs to be changed in the front and what in the back? I just want a nice ride again and not feel every bump in the road. Thanks

Hows the ride height looking? I assume if your rear coils aren't sagging, you'd just want new shocks on all four corners.

Yep, start with OEM shocks, they're cheap and cushy. Then I'd probably go through the bushings. Address any with obvious play first, but at close to 300k, they're probably all overdue.

It's sagging a little bit. I notice if I have the kids in the 3rd row now it hits or bottoms out a bit over bigger bumps. It didn't do that when I got it 200k miles ago

Yes. You can probably pick up some lowish mileage stock springs from a mud member unless you want them brand new. $$$

There are a couple trucks being parted out and a few listings for springs in the classifieds. If they are sagging that much, then you might as well replace them while you're under there. New are ~$300.

I bought my LC at 207K last year. In the past 8 months or so I have replaced all shocks, end links and their bushings, sway bar bushings and steering rack bushings. All of these bushings on mine were in pretty bad shape.

The LC now feels great, a bit soft for my taste, but my wife loves it. It is much more stable at high speed, and soaks up bumps nicely.

I replaced things one item at a time because I wanted to be able to feel how it change the ride, and I just do not have time to do all of them at the same time. Two things that make the most significant improvement imo are new OEM shocks and steering rack bushings. Next on my list is the rear springs, probably going to get aftermarket springs since they are cheaper than OEM.

I say shocks and springs to start with. When I bought our LC I did the shocks on day one. Noticed a nice improvement but it was still bouncy and sagged a bit. After 10 months of ownership I decided to install springs (piece of cake by the way) and that made a huge difference. Lifted my rear almost 3/4", completely leveled it out (my driver side sat about half inch lower than PS) and gave a much more controlled feel to the ride. Now I just look back and think how stupid I was to wait to do the springs.

I replaced all 4 shocks. The springs looked great. What a difference. I might have trouble keeping my wife out of it now. Thanks all!
