Hi folks, I have no brake light at the factory trailer 4 pole harness for the left brake. Everything else works on the plug, left turn, right brake, right turn, and tail. Everything works on the vehicle. I'm thinking the problem is on the foward end of the harness where it is tapped in but I can't find it's location. There was a recall on this harness and this 100 had it done in 2000. Does any one have access to the Factory Service bulliten on this harness? or know the location of where the trailer wire harness is connected? Thank's, John

The affected part is in the D/S rear quarter panel...accessed by pulling the tail light assembly.

I can't remember the name of the part, but we replaced it with one from Autozone and it's held up great.

It's a black, rectangular "box", probably 5x3 or so.

Bad box?

Thank's Garth, found it and something looks fishy, looks like someone has bypassed the left turn circut? Mabye to bypass a bad tail light converter box. Really don't know if the trailer light did work in the trailer plug but this could be why. I do not get continuity on the clipped wires on the box. Any info before I buy a new converter box? Thank's

I remember that my research on Mud lead to the conclusion that the OEM boxes are high-dollar crap. I grabbed a generic one from Autozone.
