I am selling my 1997 4Runner 4WD. It runs perfect, is solid, but have decided to go for a new FJ. The truck has 300K on it but has been treated well and many many parts replaced. Email me at sfaboston@hotmail.com
Thanks, Tim

It has been treated well and many parts replaced. This truck has been a great daily driver, unstoppable in snow and has mainly seen offroading on the beach in North Carolina. The truck currently gets 17 - 18 MPG or so on the highway. No leaks, doesnt burn fluids, some surface rust and a tiny hole on drivers side rocker panel, no body damage - maybe has a couple small dings. Paint in good condition and looks great when waxed. Some of the below pictures were taken before the body lift, also before I changed the roofrack configuration which now ends at the cowl panel on either side in front of the windshield. No rips in seats, interior in very good shape, but dirty from winter. Ive used seat covers since I have owned it, gauges etc all in good working order. Clean MA title.
Has current MA sticker, was on road until January 29th 2009. No emissions issues, no inspection issues, always passed no questions asked. No bumper height issues etc.
Here is a list of modifications/other info:
- Pioneer CD deck with IPOD port in ashtray
- comes with rear receiver rack that holds a jerry can and full size spare
- everything works except for the power antenna which is stuck in the open, up position
- just installed a good used transmission / transfer case with 50K miles on it.
- new clutch, slave cylinder, flywheel, fluid, shifter bushing.
- new 33 inch Dakota Mud Terrains - purchased in November 2008
- set up for IPOD, Pioneer deck
- home fabricated air intake, conical filter
- rear off road bumper with d-rings and receiver insert - front off road bumper
- KC daylighters
- 2.5 inch custom exhaust with Flowmaster 50 series muffler
- 3 inch suspension lift with Old Man Emu springs, Tokico struts and Rev Tek spacers, KYB shocks
- Landcruiser wheels
- 2 fullsize spare tires on Landcruiser aluminum wheels, plus an additional full size tire
- removed factory running boards and rear receiver
- home fabricated dual battery kit
- Detroit EZ locker in rear - 4:10 gears, also replaced all the rear axle bearings. Ring/Pinion, the whole third member was from another truck and maybe has 100K on it now
- home fabricated safari rack
- earlier Toyota altimeter
I will have links to other pictures but here are a couple links for now. Pics will be up soon, just renewed my web hosting this morning.
