Making room for (and trying to defray the cost of restoring) the new FJ-60, so I'm selling my 4Runner. Here is the cut and pasted text from my craigslist ad. There are some typical craigslist photos on the ad, and I would be glad to email high resolution detail pics of what ever you would like to see better, link here.
4WD, manual transmission, 2.7 liter 4 cylinder, 202k original miles.
The good:
Everything works and the vehicle runs.
Interior is OK but not great.
Addicted Off-road front bumper with winch mount (no winch). Smitty-Bilt nerf bars.
265/70R16 Nitto Terra-Grapplers (Toyo's off-road line) have less than 5,000 miles on them.
AC blows cold/ heater blows hot, all wipers and defrosters are in good shape.
Transmission, clutch, and transfer case are rock-solid with no issues (automatic hubs).
The bad:
The biggest issue is a head gasket leak (oil only) between cylinders. The leak is internal, and has been a slowly developing problem. The engine starts and drives just fine, but will fail at some point in the probably near future at a much greater repair expense if this issue is not immediately addressed.
The driver's side front quarter panel was clipped by another vehicle. The damage does not involve the frame, but got the turn signal and loosened the headlight assembly. The factory bumper was damaged and replaced with the current bumper.
The catalytic converter needs to be replaced.
The paint is faded and has some custom mountain scrub oak pin-striping.
I have owned the vehicle since 1999, and purchased it from a Toyota dealership as a certified used vehicle. I am the second owner. All drivetrain fluids have been maintained according to factory specifications. The engine initially was run on Castrol GTX, but switched to Mobil1 synthetic oil several years ago. Title is in hand, free and clear. Please email for further questions, specific photos, or interest. Cash only, no trades. No extra charge for the bumper stickers. Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
Chris
