Wishing I was in Paraguay but currently in Oregon
Hi all, for the past few years I had been browsing in the FJ62 forum but due to a move to Paraguay I am now searching here. I am in the process of possibly purchasing a 1996 Toyota Hilux 4x4 4 door (doble cabina) I would like to know if anyone has specs on this vehicle that they could pass along, along with an FSM. We are originally from Oregon and trying to get the info down here is a little difficult so any info would help.
Gracias, Ryan

Hello, the 1996 Toyota Hilux is an unbreakable truck, very hard to ride and very, very slow if it is equiped with the 3L (2.8 liters) motor.
I have one (LN 106 Chassis) if you need something with little or nothing mechanical troubles this is the truck for you....but if you want to go fast in the highway, you are lost....mine, with GPS, and several minutes later reached 138 km per hour (85 milles per hour)....like a snail in reverse.
Cheers
Carlos

Hi Carlos, we purchased the vehicle and compared to my FJ62 this has a ton of speed. We live out in the countryside with no asphalt so this should work out really well. Thanks for the reply and look forward to taking it on a short roadtrip tomorrow.
