Up for sale is my 1995 4Runner SR5 4wd with a 3.4l, A340H and RF1A transfer case swap. The chassis has about 226k on it and the engine/trans have about 140k on them now.
Everything works as it should including AC and cruise control. Anyone who is familiar with these swaps knows that the automatic is a but more involved than a 5 speed which is why you see so few with a properly working auto.
I bought this truck about 3 years ago with a half done, semi botched 3.4 swap from a shop in VA that couldn't figure out how to integrate the harness. I cleaned up all the wiring and got the AC and cruise working properly as well as the transmission control. The swap is pretty well done, I would give it an 8/10 as there are a few things I would do better if I were the one who had done the mechanical portion.
I have put around 40k mostly trouble free miles on the truck since the swap and we have taken many long road and camping trips with it. I really love the truck and it's difficult to find one with this nice of an interior these days but my wife really wants a 100 series so this has to go.
Full disclosure, here are the issues I know of:
AC idle up circuit does not work, you have to manually rev it at a stop to keep the air blowing cold
Truck is from VA and has some rust underneath. Nothing structural and the crusty rockers and fenders were replaced last year
The rear proportioning valve is a little off sometimes, usually going over a big bump or dip will jog it free and correct the brake balance.
Truck has a 1" Rodger Brown body lift to clear the intake and 80 series coils in the rear to fix the sag. Also has a set of Trail Gear sliders welded to the frame. 33x10.5x15 BFG ATs on factory offset 8s have less than 5k on them but could use a rebalance.
Let me know if you have any other questions. My cell is 248-408- one two one six.
Mud price is $5000
I will add more photos tonight
