Saw this on CL today. I'm going to take a look at her tonight.

1993 Toyota Land Cruiser.

For sale is a 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser. AT, PW, PL, stereo. Good tires and brakes. 4 wheel drive. Locking differentials. Overall fair condition. $1985/OBO. 414-747-9920 days.

202K - Said it is mechanically sound, A/C is weak, might need compressor, O2 sensor is throwing a code intermittantly, body in fair condition, leather is poor shape.

Since I was going to redo seats anyway, leather doesn't throw me, I've replaced O2 sensors before. If I can get it and get it painted and interior ok, it just might work!

Anything I should look for specifically? I read "the list" once already.

Sounds like a deal.

Took a look at it tonight. Apparantly good condition of the body means it was side-swiped and they were able to drive away from the wreck:rolleyes:
The passenger side had the wheel well 'extensions' cracked / broken. The running board was tore up. The rocker might have been bent, but if so, not too badly. Driver side door had some fair dents, like someone was kicking the door closed.n Windshield had 3 major cracks.
Surprisingly, there was not that much rust on it. The paint was fading a bit on a portion of the hood. The cover of the fuel cap was rusted through. There was a spot of surface rust on the front of the hood and the rear of hatch, but didn't look too bad. Underbody had some rust, but it wasn't too bad. The trailer hitch was almost rusted through.
There had been leaking oil and the front 'knuckles' had a fair amount of junk buildup with grease.

Got inside and it wouldn't start up - dead battery. Wireing had questionable wires coming from the fuse box - mabey aftermaket radio.
It has been well smoked in.
Seats are not just cracked, but missing foam.
Anyway, that's what she looks like. More than I want to bite off at this time.

Oh, and the criteria for "good tires" must be limited to, "they hold air". One was ok, rest were way bald.

Not that I expected much for $2k, but a decent description would have saved me 1.5 hours.
