As the title says, I have a 1992 HZJ73 and I am in the process of hooking up some auxiliary lights for a rear bumper. I found a 6 pin plug at the rear of the truck that isn’t being used and looks like it might be a factory installed plug for trailer lights. I put a meter on the pins and the only one that rings out is the ground wire. I couldn’t get any voltage readings at any of the other pins ( yes, key was on and the rear lights, reverse lights and a directional were all working at the tail lights. I searched several online FSM manuals without any luck. Has anyone dealt with this plug and can shed some light on its purpose and how it works?

Bringing this question up again. Does anyone know what this plug is for?
