Quick questions for those of you in California.

1992 FJ80...all original Toyota smog equipment in working order.

It's not a "California" model....will it pass CA emissions so that it could be registered in that state?

Could be wrong - but aren't all yota's 50 state emission built? Is there anything on the emission tag under the hood that may indicate that? I'd certainly think it would.

It should be fine. Only new cars have to be California-equipped. People title used cars from out of state all the time.

LCs are 50 state conpliant, but you (or the new owner) will have to have a valid, recent (30 days) smog certificate from a CA station.

Not too bad. My '96 (from WA) passed with no problems.

1991-1993 FSM california 80s had an EGR temp sensor that federal cruisers in the other 49 states did not. it allows them to throw a check engine code 71 egr failure but has no impact on the physical operation of the egr system. otherwise i believe no differences so you will likely pass inspection.

Thanks guys, I did a little checking myself, and the 1992s are 50 state emissions legal.
