To make a long story short, my uncle gave me this truck because it needed a new head gasket. Turns out two of the cylinders were bad because of the blown gasket. Toyota, bless their hearts, felt behooved to replace the entire motor. They sent a new V6 short block.
All told, Toyota put in approx $6,500 in parts and labor into the truck. We put in about $2,500 in parts into it (the NEW parts we provided include: cam shaft, radiator, tie rods and ends, etc). We had these installed at the same time to save us the labor since all the gear under the hood was being replaced under 'warranty.'
All the work was done at Mark Miller in Salt Lake City. I have the paperwork for it, too.
The truck is in stock condition. Bench seat, 5MT, am/fm radio, manual windows, regular cab, long bed, minor rust on the rear bumper and 1 spot of the tailgate. It's a one-owner car. And, no, there is no A/C. Sorry, gents. Despite it, it will get better gas mileage sans A/C. 189,000 miles on the body, 200 miles on the new engine (200 not 200K).
$3,900 OBO.
Would make an excellent rock crawler / mini-truck. It's all new under the hood.
