Ok, I'm ridiculously reluctant to do this ... but here goes. I'm selling my rig. This was Martin White's rig before I bought it off him a couple of years ago. He babied it beyond belief (read the posts) as did I, as did the original Japanese owner. This, my friends, is as good as one of these trucks gets. I'm selling because I now have two kids under five and frankly, priorities have changed.

Here are the specs:

1990 RHD Toyota Landcruiser HDJ81 VX Ltd

4.2L Turbo-diesel
3” lift, 15 mm spacers all around
Old Man Emu (OME) heavy/medium springs
Front, Centre, and Rear locking differential
JDM tube front bumper
3” mandrel bent exhaust with aeroturbine muffler
Safari Snorkel
Aftermarket A-pillar gauge pods column: turbo boost, trans oil temp, and pyrometer (trans oil not working, others no problems)
9 tires: all BFG 285-75-16 All Terrains (4 very new, 5 slightly older)
Alpine sound system with Sirius and iPod connector
Ice-maker
Altimeter and compass
Cruise control
Class 4 hidden hitch towing kit
Beige exterior, beige and brown interior
183,000 kms

Brand new rear brake pads and discs, new front pads and discs in the box
Extra fuel filter, extra oil filter, both JDM

I'm asking $25K and it is worth every penny. It's in beautiful shape. There are a couple of scratches in the interior window tinting (the result of travelling with kids and all their associated paraphenalia) and probably a couple of nicks out of the paintjob, but other than that, it's mint. The truck is currently in Prince Rupert (as am I) but we could come down to Victoria, Vancouver, Kelowna, and associated areas for a guaranteed sale. Also, it's possible the truck will be coming down to Vancouver Island for Christmas, so if you want to buy your sweetheart the ultimate Christmas gift .... :p

I will post more pictures hopefully this week and will try to check back on here for comments/messages/questions BUT I can also be reached at razzmattazz@gmail.com

Thanks for looking!

Matt

I know that rig... Seen it several times around abbotsford in the past if it's the same one. PO rings a bell... Nice!!

Matt is meticulous with the maintenance of this truck.
Martin was too, look it up.
Its nice! BUMP!

Price drop!

We're more or less taking this rig off the market for the winter and will try to sell it again in the spring. We'll probably put a bit of work and money into it in the meantime as well, partly for ourselves, and partly for the sale.

BUT ....

I will drop the price down to $19K OBO while we're down on the island (now until Jan. 20) for anyone who might be interested. The price drop reflects the current market and our desire to switch to something more practical for a family with two kids. (That big 3" lift means getting the 45-pound four-year-old up into her carseat is deadly!) Interested? Give me an email at razzmattazz@gmail.com.

Happy holidays all!

Cheers,
Matt

Bump for Matt.
I think the truck is worth it.
think about it, a properly maintained truck with higher kms is better off then a truck with a lower amount of kms that has not been maintained. This rig is a beaut.

Congrats on the sale. I am surprised that a stealership took of off your hands. Most of them won't touch the JDM stuff with a 10 foot pole. I will be interested to see what they try to turn around and sell it for.

I'd be surprised if they actually sold it out of their dealership... It may end up being wholesaled; we'll see I guess. It's such a nice rig, I hope someone from this board ends up with it though!

I just could NOT stand by and let her get put to wholesale ( Although I dont think that was where it was going) I called Nanaimo Toyota yesterday morning after a tip from a friend there saying it was still on the lot. The truck needed a new starter, and had not quite been through final inspections/cleanup to go out on the actual sales lot. Sticker price on the window was 19 grand. I think Matts' kids even left me some trail mix on the back seats!

So..... What was once Martin Whites', then Matts' is now mine... Happy to say she has found a new home in Squamish BC! I have been regretting the sale of my old 80 series since the day it left my driveway... This is a fitting replacement!

Now with a baby due in a week... as long as the wife keep smiling.... Should be mine for a long time to come!

and Matt... would love a quick chat with you if you have the time!

So that's where that trail mix went! Haha, that's awesome, Jeff, I'm happy it's found a good home. Squamish is a good playground for that rig and it sounds like you'll be the ideal driver.

I'm still kinda sad to see it go, but we ended up getting a new Highlander Hybrid, so we're still with toyota and we can still get around reasonably well. But we can now fit seven people in there and I can warm up my ass with the heated seats after a day on the mountain. Not a bad trade-off, I guess....
