I got this about a year ago. It's my second fj62, and I love it, but I cant afford to keep it any longer. Needs some body work and paint on usual places, (fenders and rocker panels) drivers side is the worst. Engine runs great.

things that are wrong:
body work ( see pics)
driver's seat wear
speedo stopped working last week (assuming its the cable, just havent had time to take care of it)
saggy suspension
one rear window not working due to a broken switch on the main panel(I have a complete extra panel, just havent replaced it yet)

thanks!!

everything shifts and drives fine. no wierd noises. I changed the oil in both transfer cases when I got it, and again this week. the cases were full and there was no discoloration to the oil.
I have only taken it off-road once since Ive owned it. I say "off-road" but its more like hard packed trail around these parts.
I changed the ATF fluid as well, but I will have a look tomorrow and see. If you are close, you are more than welcome to come check it out.
thanks,
Justin

Justin; you said you changed the oil in "both" transfer cases; did you mean to say both differentials,
or the transfer case and one differential? If you do look at the ATF; it needs to be done in full bright sunlight, like 3 inches from your nose, tilt the dipstick back and forth slightly side to side up and down;
look for the little metal sparkly flakes; happens to all 62's. How does the ATF smell, like gear oil, or vice versa when changing the gear oil in the transfer case; was it pink? Do you know if the tranny or anything else was rebuilt ever by the previous owner? Oh, and does it go into 4WD OK?
