I'd love to drive one with the 10%^ to see what that is all about.
Jim did one for a guy last year (and I think Jim/AJ did another?) and I sold him the gears, parts etc. I think his name was John
It’s like having 3.70’s essentially.

I shall ask the Jimmy when next I see him, thanks.

Next time you're in town you can give mine a whirl, it's basically what it'd feel like with a 3FE + another 100 HP. I'm a big fan of the 10% OD gears, they're the best of both worlds since you get 3.70's in high range and your stock 4.11 in low.

Thanks Will, will do.
Definitely curious now but it’ll have to be down the road.

That is why I always recommend the 10% OD gears with the H55f when going into a 62. Shifting everything up that 10% helps out a ton with the odd gear spread.
@arnak maybe we can chat about those parts today 😁
Dumb question probably, but does that 10% OD set up only effect 5th gear, or all gears in the h55f?

It’s the transfer case gear set. So Instead of transfer case high-range being 1:1 it becomes .9:1.

What the cost and process for that change?

The gear set is about $775. Please contact the business directly if you want to ship us your transfer case or vehicle to install

RevISK,
Cruiser Matt did the H55F upgrade along with the 10%OD in the transfer case. It’s smooth and snappy. No Hail Mary prayers to merge in traffic. You’re welcome to drive it, but I’m in DFW. I believe Neil will set up another meet and greet when the weather gets a little warmer. So maybe then?

Ooh, I’ll be in DFW 2nd week of March. I usually stay in Bishop Arts area. @ceylonfj40nut CD and I usually hook up for dinner and drinks at least once during my trips up.

Built custom power steering low pressure and high pressure hose kit by hand… once the truck is on we will find out if she’s a squirter ;)

How much do you guys think I can get for the fj62 project I’m building as is? With all the parts included of course. I’m moving homes and the home I’m going to won’t have a place for it to be built

As much as you love this vehicle in time and treasures, get a different HOUSE! I’m pretty sure I can feel your pain from here after all this work.

Redoing my radiator I realized couple things I thing that bottom hose I need it plugged off if I switch to a manual transmission right? Because it looks like the cooler line for the auto trans fluid? Dumb question sorry. Also where the F are these radiator insulators at? I can’t find any for sale! LOL … anyways here’s some progress

just take out those fittings and leave the holes open. extra cooling for the radiator fluid. d

i used the same mishimoto for my rebuild but didn't look for the insulators. you might do some searching about aluminium radiators and adding grounding wires. IIRC something about extra corrosion if not added. d
