1989 FJ62 in Alabama - NEW PRICE - $2000
Lack of time and an upcoming wedding have me thinking of selling my 89 FJ62. NEW PRICE - $2000. It has a little less than 175K on the clock, and is located in Tuscaloosa, AL.
So far, I have put in a slightly used stock radiator, a new thermostat (and lower housing -
), a nice trans cooler, distributor cab and rotor, new wires, plugs, battery, fuel pressure regulator, Rodney flush, rubber floor mats, A/C was recharged and tested (works good), timing adjusted, valves adjusted, and 31 Procomp A/Ts with 80+% tread (the pics are before the tires - it had 30"s on before).
Mechanically, it runs well - currently has a code 51 - probably needs a new TPS, but I wouldn't expect any problems on a drive anywhere. Shifts ok, a little firm sometimes. Transfer case is good. Front axle may need a knuckle rebuild at some point. The body is in good shape minus the big dent in the roof in the back, paint is faded on the roof and hood. No rust except where a few spots of paint came off in this area resulting in some surface rust. The frame is in great shape. This truck is basically rust free!
The big disclaimer here is that the truck currently has a Salvage title. I bought it this way, it looks like a tree fell on the middle of the back edge of the roof. To get a Rebuilt title, you'll need to get a new liftgate, get the dent taken out, and maybe repaint the back area, then get have a licensed rebuilder have it inspected, at least that is how it works in AL (check the laws in your state Al's Title Explanations). Unfortunately, I work 7-7 everyday and don't have a lot of time to get all of this taken care of.
Please ask me any questions, I'll post up some photos (the first 5 are from when I bought it last summer - no change in appearance) and can provide more info or pictures if you'd like. I'm pretty firm on the price. If I don't sell it, I'll keep it and keep working on it and get the title rebuilt.
