I recently went to the UK to buy stock/ a couple vehicles to send back to myself and this Land Cruiser was one of the trucks that I have coming back now. (I have this up for sale on my blog along with a couple of other engines- if you're interested: http://laughsandlashings.blogspot.com/2013/08/just-one-more-selling-this-1988-toyota.html )

The truck is a 1988 Short Wheelbase turbo-diesel LJ70 . It has low miles (120K) Has only 70K on its engine (Was replaced with a rebuilt @ 50K) , and it starts, runs, drives and stops as it should. It is plenty zippy and returns about 30MPG on a run, and 22-25 in town. Has Toyota 2L-T turbo-diesel engine. Has all the looks and feel of late 1980s Toyota fare - You will recognize the switches, seats and looks. Yes, it is Right Hand Drive - Amusing for a while, but you will probably find, like me, you always walk up to the wrong side of the truck to get in.

Only problems with the truck are that the wipers are running off of a separate switch (I can fix this for you easily enough) , and the power steering has a leaky hose (I can also fix this once here for you). Fuel gauge is inaccurate below a half-tank (Can also fix!) - That is it. Otherwise truck has been in daily use until I bought it.

The truck looks very good, is very solid, and is not rusty like most of these are. This truck was never available in the USA, and only just became eligible to import. It is all stock, and looks and runs great. If you are reading this ad, I assume you know what this is, and how rare it is to find one.

I am the legal owner of this truck, and have all the paperwork to prove it. Truck is en-route and is estimated to be in Portland in about 1-2 weeks (middle to end of September) - Along with some other diesel Rover engines and Land Rover Series trucks and parts. I take care of all the paperwork / customs forms. Truck will have clear Oregon title with 'diesel' indicated as fuel type. Guaranteed.

Asking $11000 for the truck , and a reasonable deposit will hold it for you until the container arrives at my shop, when you can inspect and if you decide you do not want the truck your deposit will be refunded, or if you decide to buy you can then pay off the balance and drive the truck home. I sold a similar truck earlier this year quickly for $12000, and it was an automatic, I think a manual would be even more desirable.
