Location near Augusta Maine, Price $500, Model 1988 Toyota FJ62 as is where is. 130k miles
I am selling my fj62. It has rust and poor bondo and fiberglass repairs. It has a rust hole in the frame though very small. Has less than 130K miles. Mechanically it is great. I have no issues with it. I would drive it anywhere and have used it as a daily driver until the end of May when the inspection sticker expired.
Just got a Sequoia for the family trips and still have the fzj80.
Issues with the fj62, tailpipe fell off. Rust hole in the frame, small by passenger side spring hanger. I purchased this truck in 2004 and sandblasted the rear frame and used eastwood rust encapsulator on it. Well I think it still rusted out from inside. Rear shock tube still solid. Bottom panels all with rust and bad bondo repair. Has been touched up several times by my estimation. Interior a bit dirty but intact, no cracks in the dash, normal drivers seat tear, Everything in it works all power locks, windows etc. Fan blower can be a bit touchy at times.
Engine transmission, transfer all running well with no issues to the best of my knowledge, stumbled a little bit when I first ran it today but then was fine (on a private closed road so I wasn't breaking the law if anyone is looking). Radiator recored when I purchased the truck. Tires are reasonable though a uneven wear as I have not had it aligned and got lazy with rotation.
Bottom line $500 to the first person that shows up to haul it off. Would run and get you anywhere but not inspected and frame rust as above (though I have been driving it up until the end of May). I have no title as the state of Maine does not issue them for vehicles older than 15 years old. I am happy to provide a bill of sale, sign over the registration etc.
Starting on Mud may go to craigslist and local advertiser with higher price but mud gets first crack.
No I am not parting it, I have done that before and am too busy to do it currently, though would do much better money wise.
