Much to my dismay I am going to have to sell my cruiser.
88 fj62 280K on the clock.
Transmission replaced at 240K with a known good used. No issues, no slips, shifts great.

The list of modifcations include:
OME Heavy/Med springs and nitro charger shocks. (installed in early 2010)
MAF shackle reverse and longer rear shackle to level out the rear to match the front.
5.29 Superior Axle gears and install kits installed in september.
Rear Aussie Locker (just installed.)
Custom brake lines (caliper and drop lines)
ARB bull bar (new style) (early 2010)
SMittybuilt front seats and VDP console(september 2010)
Custom Roof rack
35 12.5 r17 Toyo Open Country MT's (80% + tread remains) on black steel wheels.
Knuckles rebuilt with new bearing seals felts etc...

I am sure there is more.
I would like to keep the winch and awning for a future project.

How is it on the highway with the 5.29's? Is the frame starting to soften in the rear? Looks like it in the pics.

Still very interested. If you have it after the holidays that is.
5.29's on the highway with 35's is the only way to go!. It cruises along just fine at 70. It does have some rust on the inner portion(most of them do) but it is still solid. Actually one of the better one I have seen.
 
It's nice...

...but that's gettin toward a lotta miles, even for a yota. That's the original engine? It is a good looking truck, and I like what you've done to it. That said, it's a little on the high side of my budget and you're a long way from me. Which is probably good for my budget. :)
 
I like it, but the two trucks I have right now came from the rust belt. I swore I wouldn't do it again. Good luck w/ the sale.
