For sale, '87 Land Cruiser FJ60 w/ 4speed tranny and blown 2F engine. This truck is good midwest cruiser project truck and needs a good home. I was planning on throwing my rebuilt 2H into it but can no longer work on her. Here's the story. I bought it from a self proclaimed cruiser lover who loved her so much, he forgot to put oil in her. Yup. So the engine is blown (and does in fact leak oil)! I was pumped when I found it because the body is relatively rust free as you can see in the pictures. Even the rocker panels and tailgate are rust free! Amazing for the midwest. According to the previous owner, he brought it to Illinois from California which must have something to do with it. Anyway, when I first bought it, there were a few small spots starting to pop up here and there on the body, so I grinded them down and coated them with Eastwood's rust converter and rust encapsulater. I also patched up the lower quarter panels and repainted them with a slightly different shade of silver. The job is ok, but was only meant to be temporary. The paint on the hood is fading and some of the original silver is chipping off here and there and you can see primer underneath. If I kept her, I would repaint the whole thing. The underside is starting to rust, but the frame is solid and nothing looks rusted through. The interior is real nice, the dash looks great, the seats are in good condition, and the headliner looks great. Other than the engine, the truck should be in good mechanical condition although I can't say for sure since I have never had it running. Overall there are a lot of great parts on this truck and would make a great midwest project build up. Oh, and it has a clear title of course.
