I just finished selling the owners 1978 fj40 and it stayed here on Mud. Now selling his 1987 FJ60. He is in the process of buying a boat in Mexico to live on and is motivated to move this on to a new owner now!
As stock as they get! Even has the retro Stripes! Turns heads ! Only rust spot is on driver A pillar in pic. Frame , roof gutters all clean as seen in the pics. Runs great with a Jim C carb rebuild, new front brakes and calipers. 154K miles. Was parked on street and was hit and run a few years ago on the driver rear lower quarter panel(see pics). That’s its only body negative. Ultra clean body/frame/ etc. a good steam clean and it would look almost new underneath.
Comes with another crack free dash which are not cheap!
(Not in pics) will put on the Euro Spec Side mirrors this week(they are in his barn with the seat)
Needs:
1/He had the A/C compressor front seal replaced and never filled as it needs to be converted to R134A ( new dryer and O rings)
2/Front driver seat has normal wear and tear and needs seat bottom redone( have spare rear seat with OEM fabric so can use the fabric from it and keep OEM look)
3/ rear driver lower quarter has a dent along with bumper
4/ missing clam shell on steering column (looking for one now to put on)
5/ needs smog. Been parked in his barn since 2014 and I ordered a couple of vacuum switches and it should pass fine as it runs really well! Will smog next week.
6/ tires have tread but are old. I would replace them.
