I am posting this for a friend. If interested, just post up in the thread and he will get a hold of you. Or PM me. Its everything he says it is and more IMO. He and I did all of the work, and he was my lead fabricator/shop manager, so it was all built right.

Here is his Ad:

Here's what I've got...1987 Toyota 4runner. 22RE, 5spd. Silver on black with new paint. You will not find a cleaner solid axle rig anywhere IMO. Its that clean and needs to be seen to appreciate it. I will take some more pics ASAP and get more posted. In the meantime, here are the specs:

Front- Trail Gear SAS 3" lift

The front axle is an 85' axle and was torn down completely and rebuilt. It looks like a new axle. I used ARP studs and added knuckle ball gussets, upper axle truss and large diff guard.

Rear- TG 4" lift

5125 Bilstein shocks on all four corners.

Both driveshafts were rebuilt and balanced with CVs at both ends. Front is an long travel shaft with an AllPro 8" slip joint. Balanced perfectly for high speed 4wd use.

4.88's in both diffs.

TG dual case crossmember setup for a single case.

58" rock sliders. Frame was plated and gusseted for added strength

Front Range off Road front winch bumper with Warn hs9500i winch. Front crossmember was reinforced for winching and the old weak brakets removed.

Custom rear bumper. This is a heavy duty bumper and is designed for towing. I have loaded some heavy loads of rock in my trailer when landscaping my backyard without an issue at all.

33x12.50x15 BFG AT's with 75% tread left on Alcoa's in perfect shape.

Interior is all SR5 with inclinometer and in VERY clean shape. You will not find a cleaner rig.

22re runs strong and the rig has approx 250k but I do not know if the engine is original or not. I would expect that it was rebuilt/replaced, but cannot be certain. It runs great, shifts great, and drives great.

The 4runner initially wasn't equipped with A/C. However, I grabbed and complete A/C system and installed it with a new dryer/condenser. It just needs to be charged and pressure tested. I just never got around to it. So, it has A/C.

Pioneer head unit with MP3/CD/Ipod input. Rockford Fosgate speakers. Sounds great.

This rig is in exceptionally clean condition and I'm very meticulous about maintaining it. All the work was done by Scotty and I at Addicted Offroad and I'm sure he'll chime in at some point and vouch for the cleanliness of this rig. It drives very true and straight down the road and can easily hold speed at 80mph without worry. No vibes, and no wandering. This rig was definitely built right, and not half-assed like a lot of other rigs out there I have seen.

I am looking to trade it for a clean 3rd gen 4runner. It needs to be a 3.4L A/T. I would prefer no sunroof since I am 6'5", but would deal with one for the right rig. I would also consider a clean 93-97 Land Cruiser. If I were to sell it outright, I would ask $7500 for it.

Here's a few pics, I'll post more soon

Scotty: Is this rig in Colorado?

I have a 1998 4Runner, SR5 4x4, 3.4L A/T. It does have a sunroof. It does not have a rear locker.

It is as clean mechanically as you will find. It has 225K miles. I purchased it in Texas in 1999 with 50K miles. I sold it to my father in 2000 when we bought our '97 TLC. He had it in Colorado Springs and then Kansas until mid-2009, when I bought it back. It has always had every service necessary, and every squeek and rattle addressed immediately.

Cosmetically, it is in above-average shape. It is Anthracite in color. The rear chrome Toyota bumper has 2 good creases from a 5mph rear-ender. The hood has some hail pocks...I was planning on putting a sport hood on it eventually.

Interior is beige and a 7+ out of 10. It has a double-din from a 1997 FZJ-80, and two extra 12-volt outlets.

Everything is stock, except for a set of up-sized Micheline road-treads with about 50%

I would assume that you plan to build your 3rd gen, and I think this would be a great platform...other than the lack of the Toyota rear locker.

At any rate, you wont find a better maintained 3rd gen at this year and mileage.

Oh, I also have a set of 5 mint-condition 40th Anniversary Land Cruiser wheels, center caps and lugs to go on it/with it.

Let me know if there is any interest.

Yes Garth, its in Windsor, CO.

I will let John know.

Very nice. I'd trade my 3rd gen 4Runner for it, but it's not stock and has some dings.

His plan is for a mild build, so I am sure mild with an IFS lift would be fine.

It has about 2.5" suspension with OME rear and Sway a way front, 2" bodylift, 315 almost new KM2's, Allpro sliders, full Budbuilt skids, rear bumper with tire carrier, factory elocker, factory 4.30 gears, aussie locker in front, cb mounted under radio in dash, Total chaos upper a-arms, new poly steering rack bushings, new front sway bar bushings, large trans. and steering coolers

1996 SR5 4wd auto with 176k miles and just did timing belt and water pump, new radiator, new rear axle seals, new rear brakes and wheel cylinders, replaced steering rack with a low mileage unit, just replaced transmission with 70k mile trans., all fluids just replaced, does have the sunroof, cloth interior, aftermarket radio that isn't that great

Has some dents and dings though-it has been wheeled, needs some knick knacks-gas tank is dented-one lower control arm is bent, needs fuel sending unit(have one but isn't installed) and doesn't have a front bumper right now, I have a 1998 limited 2wd for parts that has everything needed except the front bumper that I could include (has no motor or trans. and missing quite a few parts)

Didn't see anything about lockers on the '87?

I still have the clean 93 fully factory locked cruiser, can do it plus some cash, Have him let me know. I can meet more then half way.

That was before a lot of pm stuff...it is all fixed though (for the most part)
