For sale, my 4runner
... 1987 SR5 22RE 5 speed, stock, pretty darn clean. 226k, needs head/hg. Hg, h2o pump, timing chain done at dealer at 150K to the tune of $1500. I purchased 5 or so years ago off the orig. owner, pulled dd duty off and on, always ran great. For a higher (not for a Yota!) mileage motor it runs really strong.
New clutch and rebuilt tranny last year, all OEM. Brand new OEM h20 pump, aftermarket radiator. Was running hot and losing coolant so I started there knowing the hg was fairly new. Still running hot and losing coolant. I believe the walls of the head between the coolant and exhaust manifolds have given up the ghost. I parked it and was planning on a head/hg job but have purchased another FJ60 and want to put my wrenching time into that truck.
Runner was garaged by orig owner, frame was undercoated. The frame is perfect on this truck, some surface rust where undercoating wore off. Body was Ziebarted, some body rust at wheel wells and right under fuel door. I put on a LC engineering aluminum header and exhaust minus tailpipe, needs new tailpipe. She cruises straight and smooth down the highway at 75-80 all day long. Has BudBuilt crossmember/skid plate and mean green alternator as well. Factory stock alloys, 31 BFG AT's. Wheel bearings, front and rear axle seals, brakes, etc done within last 3 years. Rewired injectors. Prob more I'm forgetting.
Asking $2700 and its gonna be hard to see her go. But I've been wanting to get back into a 60 for a long time and its the move I need to make.
