1986 Toyota FJ60 Land Cruiser, 4x4, 2F Inline 6 Cylinder Gas motor with a 4 speed manual transmission. 162,500 miles. Clean and Clear AZ Title. Title is Box C, previous owner had entered the mileage incorrectly on the title when it was registered in 2009, I have checked the Carfax (which will be available with the sale of the vehicle) and the 162,500 is the correct mileage on the odometer. With a few pumps of the gas pedal on a cold Flagstaff morning, this Cruiser starts every time. Good interior, has a new dash cover and brand new Kenwood CD Player with USB and Auxiliary input. Heavy duty canvas Spectre Offroad seat covers, driver seat would need re-upholstered (see pic) if you were planning on running no seat covers. Otherwise no rips or tears in the rest of the upholstery. Head liner has one small tear over the cargo area but overall in good condition. Body has a few dings and dents (as you can see in the pics), but absolutely no rust on this rig, truck has been in AZ and California all its life. Wheels and tires are from Discount Tire and come with full warranty. Truck has most all of it’s emission equipment in place minus the smog pump. It has the specialty bracket to replace the smog pump and runs just fine without it. If you live somewhere with emissions, you would just have to get a smog pump and this baby would be good to go. 4wd works great, everything is functional and works as it should.
Truck has
New Spark Plugs, Battery, PCV Valve, Air Filter, and Fuel Filter
Recently replaced the valve cover gasket
Newer radiator and thermostat with fresh coolant
Newer Power Steering Pump
New Intake Hose
Overall the truck runs great but does have it’s quirks, much like any 30 year old vehicle would…
The air conditioner needs to be recharged.
The windshield has a minor crack in it, maybe 2 inches in length
The Driver Window is harder to roll up, likely just needs a good greasing
The heater never quite warms up to temp. It will blow warm air but not hot. However, the clear windows help the vehicle warm up and I haven’t hesitated to drive this truck when it is 30 degrees out.
The steering can be a little finicky when taking left hand corners at highway speed. Kind of odd, more than likely a slight alignment issue
The speedometer is a little off, reads higher speed than it really is. I have another speedo cable for it, just haven’t gotten around to replacing it.
Sunfaded on top, paint is good on the lower half of the vehicle but the clear coat has faded on the hood and roof.
Overall this is a great running truck that with a little bodywork and paint has some serious potential. All the interior switches/lights etc work well. The mechanicals on it are solid, everything works and with no rust it is a great platform for a full restoration. I would not hesitate to drive this vehicle cross country, it certainly is not great on gas mileage but it is trustworthy and will get you where you need to go.
