$14,000 OR BEST OFFER!

Up for sale is my "darling" 1986 Toyota 4Runner.

This isn't a normal 1st Gen 4Runner. I have swapped the 2.4L 22RE out for a 1990 Toyota 7MGE inline-6 Naturally Aspirated Supra motor. The IFS has also been cut out, and replaced with a Solid axle. The rear axle was also swapped out. There is a 2000 4Runner 3rd member with the famous Toyota Electronic Locker. There is also an Aussie Locker in the front (torque locker).

Things that are brand spankin' NEW, or pretty Darn Close. . .

Tires: Set of Five (5), 33x10.50" BF Goodrich T/A KO's
Gears: 4.56:1 Nitro (rear) and Yukon (front)
Exhaust
BRAND NEW Marlin Crawler "Heavy Duty" (Extra $250...) W56-B Transmission. Less than 1200 miles on it currently. Million Mile Warranty (Rebuilt Toyota W56-B Transmission | Marlin Crawler, Inc.)
New Longfield Super Axle Birfield
New All Pro Off Road 8" slip front Driveshaft
New K&N air filter
New Universal 9" Electric Fans
NEW Set of Four (4) Bilstein 5100 Series, Nitro-Charged Shocks
NEW "Bomb-Proof" motor Mounts. No-questions-asked-LIFETIME-Warranty! (Bomb Proof Motor Mounts for 3.0 3VZE, 2.7 3RZFE, 3.4 5VZFE - Engine Upgrade - 79-95 Hilux | Pickup | 4Runner - Toyota)

Historically, the motor was Toyota's flagship. Although mechanically superior to most of its day, there was one fault. The Headgasket. The original specs called for an Asbestos HG, but before production was completed, there was a change in material. With the change though, there was an over-sight in the torque specifications for the Head Bolts. Now, there is a Multi-Layer Steel gasket with ARP Head-Studs. "Bomb-proof" comes to mind. . .

The power is a great change. I do drive like a grandma, but I notice that there is an increase in Horse Power and Torque. It's very exciting to be driving at highway speeds and still being able to accelerate up steep grades in 5th gear. With the 4.56 gears, I have enjoyed an estimated 19mpg on some long trips. (just got back from Canada)

~~The front quarter of the Frame rails have been plated with 3/16" steel.
~~ Rear Springs are AlCan Springs (Alcan Spring - Manufactures Fine Custom Leaf Springs)
~~ Front springs are All Pro Off-Road
~~ Added SR5 seats up front and in the rear.
~~ Marlin Crawler Bumper
~~ Smitty-Built Bumper with 2" hitch

Minimal body damage!! Visit this website for pictures! Pictures by maestropowder - Photobucket
There is minimal Surface rust in a few places.

Runs GREAT. The thing ISN'T Perfect though. There is a Valve Tick. I'm so burnt out on the **** thing, I am just not too concerned with it yet.

Everyone tells me that I'm crazy for getting rid of this, but I'm not in love with it. The whole project was to make a vehicle that would take me on road trips, skiing adventures, and anything else that I could've thought of. Well, the whole ordeal kept me from that dream for over 5 months, and has drained my bank account. The $14,000 isn't even breaking even. I know that this is a high price, and am open to offers. I beg that you don't waste my time with low-ball offers. I've done too much of that lately. I've spent about $400 alone on grade-8 (ALL METRIC/SPECIAL ORDERED) bolts. . .
