If you think it is only a head gasket, why replace the head? Do you think the the existing head is warped? Is there a local shop you would recommend to replace the head gasket and/or head? Thanks

That was just a worst case scenario I suppose. I have no reason to think the head is warped. Yes, there is a local shop that works on just Land Cruisers and old Toyotas. They have reasonable rates too.
