I opened to see where it was, as usual, you guys get all the good stuff in Canada. Good luck.

Hi, Jeffro109. There was NEVER a diesel 60 sold in the US. They ALL came from Canada. It is not difficult. There are brokers who will take care of all the details.

Hi, Torfab. It is quite possible that some Bs were sold in the US (my impression / memory / faulty memory is that no diesel 60s were sold there).

For the 25 years, if this one is NOT 25 yet (based on date of birth, 1985 or 1986), then it will soon be. Importing this would be a piece of cake.

Yeah I did not think so, but there should have been. I am itching for a FJ62, they are still too "new" to import, but getting really close. I keep chasing for sale rigs though with or without a diesel conversion.

Lots of rules and workarounds, I'll keep it in mind as I search for my perfect rig.

Thanks for your time, and good luck, it is a well kept cruiser for sure.

Yep, as soon as I hit enter on the post, the ad popped up in another screen, and the price was as clear as my stupid oversight.
Currently out of my price range, so I'll probably have to go the cheaper FJ60 route, and swap out for a diesel motor after I pay off my Tundra.

Got me thinking.....

Considering this is not getting the use that a TLC in my driveway would :steer:, here is what I can trade. A 2009 Triumph Tiger 1050 ABS with factory hard bags. My only hang up is that I would prefer a standard transmission, but the diesel engine gives this rig a couple of bonus points.:p

Hi, SMH. Nice bike! The LC is owned by a friend of mine (who does not know how to put pics on here, etc.). I will tell him about the bike. I figure you never know what can happen in terms of a swap. I agree that diesel is a good thing.

Of note (Oh, I forwarded the info about the Florida house, too). We are approaching winter here. He might want to visit for 2 weeks. :)

I have heard that the old FJ60s consume horrible amounts of fuel. I am accustomed to 25 miles per gallon (same LC but 1987, with a 5-speed transmission).
