Just finished completely rebuilding the engine on the truck above, after multiple adjustments of the diesel pump, it runs reasonably well, however, in still has the "turbo" light illuminated, and has a little excessive smoke. I am fairly sure it is because I have one of more of the myriad of vacuum lines incorrectly installed. None of the 3 Toyota manuals I have has a good vacuum diagram, including one specifically for the 2LT, and the one on the hood is too faded to read clearly. Does anyone out there have a good vacuum diagram?

I just got done rebuilding my 2lt engine and am having some issue cold starting it. I had the injection pump rebuilt and a new cold start system on it aswell. I have everything hooked up. It’s runs good ounce it’s started. Does anyone have advice.

If you scrap emissions you don't need much.

In my case, vacuum (from vacuum pump) is supplied to brake booster, 4wd VSVs for t-case. THATS IT.

Boost (from intake manifold) is supplied to boost fuel compensator. THATS IT.

Honestly that's all you need.

Ugh, sorry, read the first post only.

With regard to second post: you need: no air leaks into the fuel lines, a working glow system, and good compression. Check that stuff first. There could also be some need for injector/pump servicing.

manifold -> boost compensator.

1985 shouldn't have any emissions crap
