engine
I overheated the truck a couple years ago and installed a new head that now has approx. 20,000 miles on it. While doing so I installed an RV cam and new timing chain with metal backed guides. Used a Toyota HG and new Toyota tensioner. Engine runs pretty good and has dencent oil presure. I used to have SR5 gauges and the presure guage usually got half way. There is normal piston slap/chatter after sitting. The engine could use a new cold start injector. I removed the thermostat because I believe the radiator needs to be cleaned. There is a slight oil leak from front cover. I think when I installed the bolt from inside the head under the cam that bolts into the cover, I think I didn't tighten it to well because it looks like it is coming from there.
drivetrain
Everything seems to be solid. Differentials are good and transmission shifts good. U-joints are good. Front axle seals are bad and fluid is dripping at knuckles.
body
Bed is pretty rusty although you cannot throw a cat through it yet (I guess that is good). Body doesn't have too much rust. Underneath looks good.
Overall the truck is a solid truck. I would take anywhere. I just drove it accross Kansas not too long ago with no problems. Very little oil consumption. Decent fuel mileage and the ride is not too bad. Tool box is included. I am asking $2200 for it. I am selling because I have another project in the driveway I am trying to finish and I have to travel some and need some extra money.
