1985 Hilux 2.4 Turbo diesel accelleration problem on hills

Can anyone respond to this as the power in the 2.4 diesel Hilux turbo is down.. Disconnecting the high altitude compensator and plugging the vacuum lines be causing an issue on power.. do I need to have that connected or is that just a thing I can bypass.. ??? thanks New Head, new turbo, injection timing right on... clean air filter...

I'm having a huge feeling of Deja Vu reading this post....

Fuel supply? When my truck is at 1/4 tank I have a huge lack of power on hills, fill it up and it drives completely normal again. My assumption is I'm getting air either from sloshing or fault in the pick-up but I have no interest in trying to solve that mystery anytime soon.
