Looks like my sending unit is bad. Anyone know where I can get a new one that’s not going to cost me and arm and leg?

You get the part number and start searching. It will be the same as many other 7* series from the same era, maybe a 60 series as well.

I’m pretty sure it’s 12vdc. all my bulbs are 12v.

Sender is J7 specific but not voltage specific. Same part regardless of voltage.
I have a few used ex JDM BJ74 senders on hand. $60 shipped in the lower 48.
