*Not my Truck* :crybaby:
- from Washington DC Craig's List-

6 cylinder, 2F engine, 4 wheel drive, safari front and rear bumper, imported side mirrors, repainted to dark green - originally brown, 42 gallon gas tank. Most of the major engine components (radiator, carburetor, power steering pump, cooling pump, alternator) have been replaced in last 4 years. However, the engine will currently not idle, due to faulty air intake manifold gasket. Air conditioner also will not hold freon. Despite these faults, the truck is in generally good condition and just needs someone with time and tlc. Please visit this site to view additional photos.

Hey thanks - I found Marc311 his FJ60 - I am good at finding other people rides but never have the time or $ to get one for me......

You definitely can pick em!

I sent the guy a couple e-mails but never heard back. I pretty much assumed he must have sold it. Probably a good thing, because I was heading down that path of buying it (Yikes). It's kind of hard to pass up a clean 60 with an ARB front and Kaymar rear and 111K for only $2K.

I actually think this one would have been an even better deal than my '87.

And thanks again CA-CO-VA!

Hey Marc - PM me and tell me how the project is going...I would love to hear your tales....and how much work and heartache you saved me by buying this one....

Just for S&G's I think I'll email the owner...

Like all others I have sent several emails with no response, i wouldn't mind knowing if this was sold and if it went to anyone here on the board...

I don't live too far from FFX, but I couldn't tell where he was located based upon the pics. I don't recall ever seeing a FJ60 that was that color before, but this is a pretty big metro area.

Isn't it funny how we all know where all the old Cruisers in our area are located?

I know there is a nice white FJ6x on Shirley Gate between Braddock and 29 in FFX and just around the corner from me I have spied a red FJ40 with diamond plate corners in a garage - just sitting there - I have seen it being worked on now and then when walking my Black Lab and have never stopped to see if he wants to sell it......

HA!

I'm north of Philly & was contacting that guy about it too last week... no replies though...I think that's a dick move though...atleast tell people it's sold/delete the ad... such a blue ball for car people when this happens...

finally got an email back from this guy : here it is--
Adam,

Thank you for your interest in the FJ60. I haven't drive it for over a year, so I'm sure the battery is at least dead. The last time i drove it I had a lot of issues with it not stalling out. So not sure if I can answer the question if it is driveable. I've gotten a lot of local interest in the truck so let me know if you would like additional information.

I got an email back finally as well. I was interested in the bumpers. he said somethng about being glad he had them when he was in Pakistan........ I haven't seen it around but it might be a good buy if it just needs some basic work. Unfortunately he did not say exactly where in FFX he was.

Okay, this is a bit scary.... But within about 60 seconds of CSI style web searching you can see the 60 in the bird's eye view here (give it a counterclockwise click!)...

Damn I'd make a good stalker...

I just got an e-mail from the seller stating it has been sold. The e-mail said it was sold to somebody who knew landcruisers - I figure it was somebody on this board.

Anybody want to step forward?
