(SOLD) 1984 BJ60 in Lethbridge, Alberta
1984 BJ60, 330000 km on everything except engine. I put the engine in (~ 660000 km!), and have been driving it daily for the past two years. Engine does not use oil. Had the back portion of the wheel lip repaired ($1300). Recently added the complete OME Heavy lift.
Good:
- Very original and unmolested
- Body preserved somewhat being in Southern Alberta (dry) and from being parked for about 10 years before I got it.
- Mostly all original paint (except around rear wheel wells and hood which I had a body shop do)
- Body pretty straight
- High mile engine does not use oil
- Old Man Emu Heavy lift
- 5 speed manual trans
- Original radio
Bad:
- High mile engine
- Rust along bottom edge of tailgate
- Rust on inside of rear wheel opening where rear seat back mounts
- Differentials need seals, and probably rebuilt eventually
- T-case seal sweats/leaks a little
- Front drive shaft dented
- Rip on driver seat on side
- Exhaust leak near passenger door (minor)
I'm looking for $3500 for the truck with rebuildable engine, or $3000 without rebuildable engine. I can include the original rebuildable engine also if desired. This is a nice original, and compared to most a very solid truck. It does need work, but drives as-is and is reliable.
