BJ60, original Canadian market truck. H55F tranny, 12V dual battery, power steering and brakes, split case, 3B 3.4L diesel. 410K kms (250K miles). Can be imported into US. Has new rear brakes, new shocks, new 31 inch BFG A/T tires, new springs, new tie rod ends, recent batteries, etc. New stainless exhaust (3 inch). Body is better than most I have seen, has rust around rear wheel wells and one rocker needs replacement, tailgate and liftgate are very good, but it definitely isn't mint. Windshield cracked. Comes with spare parts. I have too many cars, the most reliable one has to go

How can you get that truck imported into the us without paying more than the truck is worth in fees?

why don't you ask the numerous others on here who drive canadian cruisers in the USA. It cannot be that high in fees. People do it all the time. 25 year rule does not apply to this truck. As Canada and the USA have a cross vehicle exemption.

huh?

What do you mean by cross-vehicle exemption? If it's a Canadian vehicle then the 25 year rule applies, just like it would to any other canadian diesel cruiser right? If I'm wrong then please school me. I've been looking for a reasonably priced diesel.

Guys - The 15/25 year rule only applies to vehicles that are not Canadian or US federally certified. This truck was sold brand new in Saskatchewan (ENS Toyota) and was originally intended for the Canadian market - It meets all Canadian safety standards in effect on the date of manufacture. It is therefore eligible for import into the US, whether or not it is 25 years of age. I am familiar with the import process and will assist anyone in getting it into the US.

I bought this truck from the original owner 3 years ago. I have all the paperwork from new, factory service manuals, etc. Here are some recent photos. The truck has rust in the passenger side rocker panel and over the rear tire. It also has rust in the hinge area of the doors. This is a very good mechanically / decent body type deal. It's worth fixing, but it does need work. The frame is better than all the other 60s around here, it was oiled from new but it does have rust. The shock mount crossmember is good and oily.

The truck does not need much for a safety in Ontario, aside from body work. I was going to weld in some slides (Foxfab style) and chop the quarters, which addresses 90% of the rust. The truck starts great, has great power, gets fantastic mileage, even pulls a 5X8 trailer well enough. It's no rocket ship but it does fine. My girlfriend likes driving it, so it can't be that bad.

The interior is pretty clean, everything works, come on guys!

Edit: Has new windshield as of yesterday!

Would you like to sell the trailer? -Gustaf

Haha, no, sorry it is not for sale. It belongs to the Ottawa Valley Land-Rover club, we use it for expeditions. It is pretty sweet, I didn't build it.
