1983 FJ60, 164k no rust! (NM)
Up for sale is a very clean 1983 FJ60.164,XXX on the odometer. This truck has been in the southwest its entire life and is rust free. I have had this truck for almost two years with plans to restore and build in to my overland rig, but I recently fell in love with a beautiful FZJ 80 and the 60 has to go!
Over the last two years I have performed a long list of maintains and repair jobs on the cruiser all following the Factory Service Manual to a T! Highlights include knuckle rebuild with inter axle seals and new wheel bearings. All done with Toyota OEM parts. DBA rotors and pads and SS extended break lines from MAF. Full tune up and valve adjs. I got most of the vac hose replaced and all smog is intact. New Urban Land Cruiser ground cables and stainless batt hold down. Hella headlights with Ultimate harness from Wired Wagon. Replaced the mirrors with NON-US spec. "Aussie" style. 31x10.5 BFGoodrich All Terrains on new FJ40 rims painted OEM grey. Lots of other small stuff.
The interior is in good shape with a just a small tear on the drivers seat, the rest is tear or stain free. The headliner was redone at some point and is not quite to factory spec but still very nice. All door locks work and windows roll up and down. Lots of other small work has been done to bring things up to spec. I have all the paperwork for the things I have done.
The truck was repainted in the past also as is evident by the slight over spray on some of the weather striping, it is hard to tell but if you look close you can see it. There is also a small ding above the rear wheel, looks like it was backed into in a parking lot. The paint has faded a bit but still looks good, it kinda fits the tuck with the sun fade.
The only thing that doesn't function as it should is the windshield wipers and the A/C, I just never made it that far in to the build. Other things I would do next is a carb re-build and an OME suspension and this truck would be ready for anything!
