1983 Fj60. The key way at the end of the crankshaft has rounded and in turn destroyed the crankshaft pulley. Engine is sitting motionless in my garage and would require a replacement crankshaft or new engine...or weld a new crankshaft pulley to the end of the crankshaft. To be clear, the engine runs strong, but without the belts turning it will not recharge the battery or run the water pump at all. I purchased this rig in November 2008 and the crankshaft problem occurred in April 2010. It has 240K miles on the engine. The top end of the engine was rebuilt by the previous owner at 215K. The carburator was rebuilt at 215K by an outfit in Denver. I have all of my reciepts and those of previsous owners. I had the front axle replaced and completely rebuilt by big Horn Toyota. It has new 31x10.50x15 A/T's from Alpine Tire in Glenwood with less than 7k miles. the body has normal "Cruiser rust" on it. It sucks that we/I put almost 4K into this rig for this to be the end result. With a new or mended engine she is still strong and makes a perfect trail rig!!! The 4WD is still strong!! I just have too much going on to dump more money into it rite now...
I am asking $1000 but thats negotiable. Between the newly rebuilt front axle, usable body panels, glass, almost brand new tires, t-case, etc... I don't think thats an unreasonable starting point.
