For Sale 1983 BJ60 Portland, OR $7000

It's an old story:
Have a kid, rig needs more attention than you can give. Rig might be more appreciated by someone else with the time, energy, $$, to fix her up right.

1983 BJ60 5spd. Little rust to speak of (a few spots here and there but nothing fatal).
328,000km (203809 mi.) Just broken in!

The Good:
Titled and Licensed in Oregon, U.S.A. (you don't have to worry about import).

The not great:
No Air
Heat has crapped out on me.
Has shut off switch instead of EDIC (no EDIC).

This is my DD.

I'll have pics up tomorrow when the wife gets home with the camera.

Can you give us a little bit of the vehicle history... how many owners, where the vehicle has spent most of its time, maintenance/accident records, avg mpg, etc...

And what's the story with the stereo/speakers? Just missing the PS speaker and the rest are in the working order?

What kind of CB(?) does it have?

As for the AC, it didn't come with it and can it (and how difficult is it to) be retrofitted?

And what does the heater need to get working again???

I've owned for 4 years (in Portland). It spent an unknown number of years in Eugene, Oregon where I presume the previous owner, a Canadian went to the U of O. I bought it off a middle man, a shop here in Portland that had it for a few months and did some suspension work on it (forget what). They told me the owner lived in Montreal, the McGill sticker on the back bumper leads me to believe this is so.

Accidents:
None to body or frame on my watch and none evident. Although both bumpers have seen light "action".

that said there was the "gas in the diesel engine" accident a year ago that was solved with a refurb. fuel pump (at the stations expense).

I've been religious at changing the oil every 3k mi.

Stereo:
Meh, I listen to sports talk radio and only use the rear speakers, front 2 exist but don't function currently. New system would be awesome for someone.

CB:

Dunno, never used it, just sits in there. Antenna hookup on right rear wheel well (inside).

AC:

Yea you can retrofit but it's a spendy proposition, a couple thou from what I understand--dunno.

Heater:
Dunno, not really needed here. It gets chilly here but not too cold. It puts out a minimum level of heat but.

Man I wish I had the $$ to buy your rig. It's up on Portland Craigslist with a new paint job and a new lease on life. Though, I'm not a fan of their ditching the "G" badges on the fenders.
