Hi Folks,

I have a 1982 Toyota diesel pickup. The fuel/water separator needed disassembly and cleaning, and some parts broke in the process.
Does anybody know of a parts source, or where I can get the complete assembly?
Or what about adapting a newer unit?
This is the version with the manual pump on top.

Thanks and good health, Weogo

I've had good luck with partsouq.com for quite a few years. Zillions of oem parts as well as diagrams, can punch in your frame number directly and see what comes up or find your way around the site manually. Theres alot more model variations than one might think. I dont know what yours looks like but if they don't have an exact replacement they'll have the newer version as found on my '90 Ln106 and who knows how many other applications. Link for that and associated bits such as the water sensor needed to fill hole in bottom of filter is below. Depends what you end up doing. Even if you dont end up ordering from there its a handy way to get part numbers.

I have an OEM Fuel/Water separator in the box that I bought to replace the one on my 1981 BJ42. I never installed it and am now selling the BJ42 as is. I would be willing to sell the separator for what I bought it for. I had it shipped originally from Japan or Australia. Message me if you are still needing one.

I would recommend upgrading to the newer style fuel filter with built in water separator in the 84 and above models.

You can get the housing for relatively cheap online

You can get the filters at most parts stores as they share the number with modern duramax filters.
