1982 Toyota FJ-60 Landcruiser.
I am selling my 1982 Toyota FJ-60 with 185,220 miles. 4-speed Manual, This FJ-60 is in good/great mechanical condition. The truck starts right up and idles smooth. The front axle has fresh seals, the carb has been rebuilt, and the previous owner installed a new clutch back in 2009. I also have a receipt where the transmission and transfer case have had seals replaced. I replaced the head gasket using factory Toyota parts and to be safe the water pump was also replaced with a Toyota factory pump. Any work I have performed on this truck is using only the best parts. I intended to keep this truck in my family so everything I have done is done correctly. I have receipts on everything I and the previous owner have done to the truck.
I bought the truck because it is structurally solid and no frame rust. I thought it had zero rust (the frame rails are in excellent shape and the rear cross member is solid), since then I have found a couple small spots (1. behind passenger wheel well, 2. under the Land Cruiser emblem on rear quarter, 3. on the drip rails). Even with the few spots I consider this one of the most rust free land cruisers I have seen, especially the undercarriage.
The interior looks pretty good, The front seats have had covers on them for the last few years and no tears in any of the seats. The dash is in good shape along with the steering wheel, all gauges work. The carpet looks like 30 year old carpet and the headliner is not as white as it once was but it is not unacceptable.
The factory??? paint/clear coat is starting to peel, the AC is not working, I have yet to dig into the AC.
All in all I think this is a great FJ60 and hope it goes to someone who will appreciate it. The reason I am selling is I have a Jeep and a Bronco each with sentimental value and 3 similar 4x4 vehicles is one too many.
