Lots of alarm bells on this one. Firstly beside those things posted before, the stock soft top trucks in japan had barn doors and not a tailgate since they all came with ambulance soft doors. Plus no footman's loops for the soft top. The Roll bar was not stock on hard top trucks in japan and were not always included on soft top rigs. Lastly, Japanese 41s had mirrors on the fenders, not the doors or WS hinges.

So, I assume this was a hardtop truck, but where is the top? I know of a few companies that do restos over there that are partial to those wheels.

I am in the military and currently stationed in Japan and have done a lot of looking around. Even being over here I am extremely cautious about buying an older LC. Rust is a huge problem with vehicles over here. Especially ones that comne from northern Japan.

A lot of the places that sell the cars paint straight over the rust bubles. You can plainly see painted over rust bubbles in a lot of the photos on car dealer web sites.
