For various reasons, I am moving on from my FJ40 project and looking to first sell the large/heavy stuff before parting out the rest.

TLC Performance (fj40jim and crew) rebuilt this 1979 2F engine in early 2022 and was able to ship it to me in August 2022. It has been in a garage the past couple years waiting for my build to come together.

There were many upgrades / new parts put into the engine. Everything (head, block, crank, flywheel, manifolds) machined (ended up getting a cleaner head from a 1978 FJ40 and used that), new forged Wiseco pistons (.060" O/S"), new OEM lifters, new fuel pump, rebuilt and recurved dizzy from a 86 FJ60, rebuilt carb/desmog/testing, new 4 speed clutch kit, and all the standard engine rebuild items (new gaskets, seals, bearings, etc etc). I can share the receipt for the rebuild for a serious buyer.

I do not know the market for something like this and invite offers/discussion. I want to sell it and would love to see it go to someone who can put it into action soon. TLC Performance is obviously has a superlative reputation and my goal was to put the best in my rig. This is an opportunity to put the best in your rig, keep it Toyota OEM, and not wait around for a rebuild. I suppose if I need to name a price, I am probably into the engine for close to $7,000 all told. I would love to get back what I have into it, but realize that may or may not be reasonable.

The engine is currently sitting in NW Illinois and may be moved to greater Chicago area in a couple weeks. I can ship by Fastenal in a crate, or could do pickup. A couple pictures below from when it was fully assembled at TLC.

Please message me to discuss. Thank you
