some more detailed pics would be good, it is a 3.6L "H"engine, they were a bit of a slug.
floor pics is of passenger side, need to look at drivers side as well. has rust stains under the hinges on the bed. loks like rust near drivers seatbelt, they normally go here, has it had a respray ??
looks tidy, just need more pics to really tell, where is it located, u may be able to get somebody to go look at it

He lives in Yagoona, About the respray don't know looks like it. Ill see about the drivers floor pic it would be awesome if I new someone that could look at it for me?You by chance wouldn't know of anyone by Sydney:idea:

I have an HJ45 as well. Plan to go nowhere fast. Awesome cruiser and even better in the summer with the top off and 1/2 doors. Looks like that one is in AUS still and Im not familiar with current prices there. If you aren't close have someone over there look at it for you. As others stated more pics will help for us to advise.

$14k is waaaay too much for a H diesel, even one that neat. Try under $10k. Recently saw an '84 HJ47 with a 12H-T, H55F, A/C, P/S and disc front for sale for $17k. Neatest truck I've ever seen. Now that was a truck you'd pay more than $10k for, but not '78 H-motor, H41 and no air or steer. He's taking the piss. Is very tidy though and worth it if you can get him down.

HJ45

I did a frame off restoration of an HJ45 a few years back. One of my favorite projects! Loved it when it was finished and kept it around for quite a while. Only negative when going down the road everyone would say "beautiful old truck" now can you get it out of the way! Very slow but very cool. Regards

That seems like way too much for down-under and it might get $10k + in the US, maybe if it was a left hand drive. I'm thinking the rusty stains on the hood/bonnet are from a leaking water pump or is it just red mud spattered up from the fan?

I had a 1978 H engine, drum brakes, no power steering, no AC BUT in excellent condition. Yet to see one as clean - no rust. I paid $9K and put new rubber around it, drove it for 4 years as weekend fun and sold it for $13,500. Miss it. Rode like a lumber truck!
