We have had this FJ for 1 year. Bought it in Hawaii, and shipped it here. I have been an FJ enthusiast on the US mainland for years and know the shortage of good quality FJ40's. I felt it was my duty to bring this one where it would be appreciated. Low mileage (80K), little rust (only surface), will need new exhaust and tires in the next 2 years.

So, here's the low-down:
When I bought, it already had...lift, tires, aftermarket front bumper, and spray bed-liner exterior.
Since I have had it, I have...replaced torn OEM seats with racing buckets, added a tasteful stereo, repaired a few odds and ends, brand new OEM clutch 1 month ago, currently at the shop in Orange getting brand new brake master and rebuilt brake booster, new air filter, detailed, cleaned up, etc...

On April 8th, 2019 I will pick it up with my FJ80 and tow it from there on a tour for your viewing pleasure (schedule subject to change, message me with any questions):

April 9th, leave for Las Vegas
April 10th, head to Dixie or Fishlake Nat'l Forest
April 11th, head to Moab
April 12th, leave for Denver
April 14th-17th Lakewood, CO
April 18th-21st Black Forest/CO Springs
April 22nd, to Durango, CO
April 23rd, to Flagstaff, AZ
April 24th-26th Phoenix, AZ

I will ship it if a buyer prefers, and in the event that it sells, I will update this and all posts. Thank you.

Welcome. Do you have picks of the engine, cargo area and undercarriage? Price?
I do. Pics were taken before dropping off for cleanup, so actual appearance after 4/8 will be much better and pictures will be posted. There are more pics on my FB ads, are you active with any of the US Cruiser groups on there?
Price: $18,000

I'm glad you got it out of Salt Air, I hope they cured the cancer before they coated it.

Coating was done long before I owned it, all cancer is purely surface (except for the exhaust), and much of it is being cleaned up by the repair shop as we speak.

I have a slight change to the schedule:

April 8th, Orange, CA to Las Vegas
April 10th, Las Vegas to Moab
April 11/12th, Moab to Denver (this leg may take a little longer using my 4 ton '94 FJ80 to tow the 1.5-2 ton FJ40 over the rockies)
Trying to arrive in Lakewood, CO no later than 4/13, the rest of the schedule remains.

UPDATE: Tax Day Discount, I am offering this FJ40 for $15,000 now. Motivated to sell and recoup some unexpected expenses.

Sorry for the delays everyone, I had a major driveshaft issue on my FJ80 (the towing vehicle). I am leaving Vegas today, headed to Moab for the night and tomorrow morning.

Amended schedule (subject to change):
April 13th, head to Moab
April 14th, leave for Denver
April 15th-18th Lakewood, CO
April 19th-22nd Black Forest/CO Springs
April 23rd, to Durango, CO
April 24th, to Flagstaff, AZ
April 25th-27th Phoenix, AZ

More photos coming soon!

Still mostly on schedule, I will create a new post with the new photos this weekend. Price drop! $12,000. I am running out of time on getting this sold. Please reply if interested.

If it were on the mainland it would be gone

He is on the mainland and I think what you mean it is was in better condition or priced closer to what it will actually sell for it would be gone. It has been hacked, beaten sprayed, SR'd and beaten some more .. surface rust only ... lol yeah cause that is how rust works just hangs out in easy to get to places .... when you diff housing, tie rods and chassis starts to bubble it probably inst surface rust .. just sayin .... add to the fact it has been Bed Lined ... I can only imagine what that is hiding.

From $18k ->>>> $12k you will probably have to get to single digits if you really want to move it ....

His location states Hawaii, that is what I meant, did you go and see this?

My location states Hawaii, but the post is clear. I brought this FJ40 from Hawaii to sell here. I admit $18,000 was high, every mechanic that has seen it agrees $15,000 is a fair price, but it is not moving. $12,000 is my break-even price, anything below and I will be losing money. I have 2 weeks left to get it sold, and $12k is more than reasonable. Don't believe me? Come and see it for yourself! I am currently in CO, will be for about 3 more days, then bringing it to Arizona for 3 days. If it hasn't sold yet, it will be on an antique consignment lot in CA. Yoyoho, I too am discovering what the bedliner may be hiding, as it was put on by the owner before the one I bought it from. I, however, am properly cleaning and treating the rust so that it won't continue to spread. New pictures and new post coming as there is obviously a lot of confusion in this one.

Thanks for your opinion (without seeing the vehicle), would you like to make an offer? Or just tell everyone that it isn't worth double-digits, sight unseen? I have 2 interested buyers at $12k, so if you are interested, great! If not, please don't discredit my vehicle.
