Guys whats the difference between a 1977 fj45 and a 1978, cdn trucks.
Also as it goes for paint did they paint the underside of the fender same as on top.

And does anyone know how many 1977 fj45's came into canada

1) 77,78 are in the same era as far as major structural changes. As for minor changes... does the 77 have side defrost vents?

2) my 78 is red both sides of the fender

3) there is a chart somewhere on mud with import totals for Canada though it is dominated by 40/42's - actually it may be on the treeroot website :hhmm:... if it is back up yet. He lost his domain for a bit.

Thanks...... Im looking at a fj45 its a 77 and was wondering......

your work is great....... do you ever think you will be making cabs, rear sections.

I don't think I will be making cabs. 40 rear quarters, wheel wells and floors if anything.

Differences between 77 and 78 FJ40s in the US that might be the same on a FJ45. The brake/seat belt lights moved from bracket hung from under the dash to the left of the steering wheel in 77 to being mounted to the face of the dash to the right of the steering wheel in 78. The windshield washer nozzle on the hood became a dummy with the 78 model and was installed in the top of the windshield. The seat belts moved to the rollbar and the jump seat changed but those have nothing to do with the FJ45LP-B.

My 78 FJ45 lpb agrees with the last post
