Gentlemen:
I suspect that this question has be posed before, but perhaps you will indulge me. My old BJ40 came in from Honduras with 15 X 8" spoke wheels - and - I would like to convert to 16 x 5.5" or 6" steel wheels for the purpose of mounting truck tires (i.e. - 235/85R16, three ply sidewalls). The question being, can I use Dextar trailer wheels (6 on 5.5" bolt pattern, 6" wide) as replacement wheels? These wheels seem to come in black/white powder coat, hot dip galvanized, and the conventional "old truck type" painted, solid center for hub-cap mount. I am leaning toward the lesser expensive wheels (i.e. - power coat) with the hot dip galvanized being a second choice. As I understand it, these wheels have a "Back Spacing" of 3.5" and an "Offset" of zero. Will these work on the old 1977 BJ40? It has drum brakes on all four corners.

I've had a 16" trailer wheel that fit before, I used it as a spare and it was a while ago, so I can't say about the part number.

With drums you might be able to get away with less backspacing, or, these are still available from toyota...and actually pretty reasonably priced.

The correct new part number 42601-60362.

Thank you for your reply and for the information. I have had a inquiry pending with E-trailer (they list what I was looking for), but they have said that the backspacing is not workable. The trailer wheels have "zero backspacing," making the center of the tire directly over the center of the wheel. They claim that this will not work for automotive applications. I will take a look at the "Toyota wheels" that you referenced and see if I can do better/get smarter. Thank you again for your input.
